Samuel whitt
Owner/director - boys 18u head coach
Samuel Whitt is an experienced and passionate coach specializing in both volleyball and tennis. He formally served as a Student Assistant Coach for the LaGrange College volleyball team, bringing over five years of hands-on experience in the sport. His coaching style emphasizes teamwork, skill development, and a strong competitive spirit.
With 17 years of tennis experience—including NCAA Division III competition—Samuel also brings three years of coaching expertise at the high school level. He has coached at both Troup County High School and Northside High School, where he focused on developing young athletes and helping them reach their full potential on and off the court.
Samuel's journey in volleyball has always extended beyond the court. Driven by a deep passion for youth development, sports education, and mental health advocacy, he recognized a need for a more holistic approach to athletic training—one that prioritizes not just physical skill, but also personal growth and emotional well-being.
olivia meininger
Assistant director - boys 16u head coach
Olivia Meininger brings over a decade of competitive playing experience and a strong training background to her dual role as Head Coach for the 16U Boys Club team and Assistant Director of Electric City Volleyball. Her passion for the game, combined with years of hands-on coaching and leadership, makes her a powerful role model for young athletes.
Olivia is committed to developing well-rounded players through high-level training, discipline, and a team-first mindset. Her ability to connect with athletes, push them to reach their potential, and foster a culture of respect and hard work sets the tone for success both on and off the court. As a coach and mentor, Olivia continues to shape the future of Electric City Volleyball with energy, vision, and heart.
kyrsten gilbert
head of marketing - social media manager
Kyrsten brings a creative spark and strategic mindset to Electric City Volleyball as our Head of Marketing and Social Media Manager. With a background in social media management and graphic design, she combines visual storytelling with digital marketing expertise to amplify our brand and connect with the volleyball community. Her passion for design and content creation makes her a perfect fit for our team, helping us grow our presence both on and off the court.

Jordan musantry
Assistant Coach - boys 18u
Jordan is from the suburbs of Philadelphia and comes to us with 10+ years of competitive volleyball experience. She started playing club on the 12s team at the age of 9 and continued playing volleyball as a libero until she was 18. Following that she helped assist in coaching numerous girls travel teams. A recent grad of Auburn, Jordan relocated to Columbus for a job and looks forward to bringing her skills and knowledge to ECV.

Nyanna-slaughter Smith
Head Coach - girls 16u
Nyanna is a passionate leader who brings years of experience as both a volleyball coach and former competitive player. She knows what it takes to succeed on the court—and how to bring the best out of every athlete she works with. Her coaching style focuses on skill development, teamwork, discipline, and building confidence, all while creating a positive and competitive environment.
Nyanna has spent years helping athletes grow not only as players but as people. Her professional experience and leadership style are all about preparation, accountability, and pushing past limits to reach new levels. Whether you're working on fundamentals or striving for college-level play, Coach Nyanna is committed to helping you reach your goals and love the game every step of the way.

Assistant coach - girls 16u
Journey brings a lifelong passion for volleyball to her role as assistant coach. A dedicated player from a young age, she competed at the NCAA Division III level for four years as a starting outside hitter at LaGrange College. Journey’s experience on the court and deep understanding of the game make her a valuable asset to the coaching team. She’s excited to help young athletes grow in skill, confidence, and love for the game.

Steven antes
Assistant coach - boys 16u
Steven brings over a decade of volleyball coaching experience and a lifelong passion for the game to every team he works with. As both a former player and seasoned coach, he has a deep understanding of volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and skill development. Coach Antes has led multiple high school and club teams to successful seasons—including playoff runs and regional honors—and was named Region 1 High School Volleyball Coach of the Year.
In addition to coaching, he has directed volleyball camps, developed training programs focused on fundamentals and team systems, and served in leadership roles for competitive club programs. He is certified through USA Volleyball (IMPACT and CAP levels) and prioritizes creating a positive, growth-oriented environment for athletes.
Steven is known for his ability to connect with players, build confidence, and help each athlete reach their full potential—whether they’re brand new to the sport or looking to compete at a higher level.

Cheyenne carnley
head coach - girls 12u
Cheyenne brings a lifelong love for volleyball and a strong foundation in the game’s fundamentals to her role as Head Coach for the 12U recreational team. A standout player at Columbus High School, she helped lead her team to the state tournament and earned regional honors for her performance and leadership on the court.
Cheyenne is passionate about teaching young athletes the basics of volleyball in a fun, supportive, and structured environment. Her goal is to help every player build confidence, learn teamwork, and develop the essential skills they need to grow in the sport—all while having fun and loving the game.

Zipporah brings energy, compassion, and a solid understanding of volleyball fundamentals to her role as Assistant Coach for the 12U recreational team. With experience playing in both high school and recreational leagues, she knows how to connect with young athletes and help them grow both on and off the court.
Zipporah is especially passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where players feel supported. As a strong advocate for mental health, she emphasizes confidence-building, communication, and teamwork—ensuring every athlete feels valued while developing their skills and love for the game.
